The Bryan Memorial Gallery is unique in the aspect that it is a not-for- profit gallery that also maintains and displays a substantial permanent collection of paintings by Mary and Alden along with their contemporaries.  In recent years the Gallery has added works by well-known New England painters living and working in the area.  Artists represented in the permanent collection include: Mary Bryan, A.W.S., Alden Bryan, A.W.S., Charles Curtis Allen, N.A., Emile A. Gruppé, and  Aldro Hibbard, N.A.  Contemporary artists in the permanent collection and currently producing works for sale at the Bryan Gallery include: Thomas Nicholas, N.A.,  Charles Movalli, Michael Graves, and Vermont artist Eric Tobin.  This permanent collection comprises a major cultural resource for the community and region, helping to document the Cambridge/Jeffersonville School of painters who gathered during the twentieth century and continue to be active in Vermont to this day.
